I had a lot of fun making this project and how it challenged me further as an artist by approaching this project in unique and interesting ways. I really wanted to capture an "8bit" feel which is reminiscent of old game boy games and any other 90s games you can think of. I feel like I could've done a bit better such as animating the text boxes but that dialogue alone took a lot of time to finish and incorporate into my animation. My alter soul is a sentient cloud that lives in a post-apocalyptic world where it has little to no knowledge of what's going on or how it got there. I wanted to make it seem like in the monologue of how clueless it is by the subtle hints displayed in what it's saying, to really give it a mysterious feel to it. Overall I think this is a good start with animation in 8bit style and I am thinking to taking this project further in my own free time. Below are the links to its twitter, some example and in progress photos of my project, and the code to the twitter bot.

Biography: Based in an alternate reality, Crimson D. Horizon is an sentient entity taking shape of a cumulous cloud that resides high above a nuclear wasteland where the greed and the various conflicts of humanity has caused their inevitable end, taking the planet along with them. Crimson is not aware of any of this as there is only a few hundred more years before the atmosphere strips away from the once thriving and lush earth, which would kill Crimson as well. Knowing none of this, Crimson wanders aimlessly through the sky looking for the slightest curiosity in order to mend its boredom and its existential dread since it came onto this planet without knowing how or why. It's ultimate goal is to figure out why it came into existence, despite how bleak that possibility may be. To try to cure its insanity, it resorts to having philosophical conversations with the Sun over the horizon, even though the Sun lacks any sort of intelligence. Other than that, It tries to avoid any smoke or smog that may rise up to its elevation since it despises the feeling of having smoke and smog infused within itself. Overall, Crimson D. Horizon is more so of a subtle example and reminder of how any life on earth, even the clouds, may feel over the neglect that humanity has dealt to it ever since we came into existence.
